John Swartz – Director of Jet Sales
Email: john@pollardaircraft.com |
John Swartz grew up in corporate aviation with his father who was a sales manager for KC-Aviation, and now with one of the
premier service centers. John’s Father would take him to see the business jets and fly on them as a child and that is where
John’s love for aviation began.
After graduating high school, John enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, to become a KC-130 jet engine mechanic. His
duties included propeller maintenance, engine repair, fuel system repair and running the test cell. John has a strong maintenance
back ground including an A&P License, a level 2 NDT license and a 1st Class FCC license with a radar endorsement.
After leaving the Marines, John worked for Dallas Airmotive, quickly becoming the Shop supervisor, and overseeing the assembly and
disassembly of the Rolls Royce Spey and Tay program, and the Pratt & Whitney PT-6A and JT-15D program. John quickly excelled in the
mechanics field and decided to pursue his goal to become an Aircraft Sales Professional. John has been with Pollard Aircraft Sales

Scott McCord – Sales Manager
Email: scott@pollardaircraft.com |
Scott McCord started his quest for a career in aviation at a very young age, growing up in
a family of pilots and mechanics. Scott graduated from Purdue University in 1997 with a BS in
Aviation Technology and an Airframe and Powerplant license. Right out of college he went to work
for American Airlines in Ft. Worth Texas. Scott worked as an engineering analyst at a heavy
maintenance base. Scott always had a passion for flying and being around airplanes and wanted to
incorporate his sales and marketing background into aviation as well.
In 2002 he decided to finish all of his pilot training and become a flight instructor. After serving
as a flight instructor and contract pilot for over two years he went to work for American Eagle
Airlines flying the Embraer Regional Jet. It was during this time at AA that he met Tim Pollard,
owner of Pollard Aircraft Sales. Scott began building quality relationships like Tim’s while at
American and continues to use this talent to focus on growing Pollard’s business with King Airs and
business jets sales and acquisitions.

airport each week to see the new arrivals. The Swartz family attended every local air show and aviation was
always a big part of Michael’s life.

University of North Texas pursuing his degree while developing his business skills as a researcher for Pollard
Aircraft. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing and playing a round or two of golf.
